Andrew James Associates provide CDM-Co-ordination and Health, Safety & Environmental advice to Dwr Cymru Welsh Water. As well as Alliance Partners Imtech and Costain, on over 250 projects. The role involves co-ordination of designers, Civil, Mechanical & Electrical engineers within the framework to ensure Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 requirements are met for Environment Agency led schemes.
The principle duties are to conduct detailed studies with the Project Team to ensure adequate Health, Safety, Environmental and Ecological information are issued before the schemes are started.
Frequent site inspections and audits are undertaken to review compliance with the statutory responsibilities and that the details of the Construction phase plan are being met.
We provide impartial and independent advice to the client and Safety, Health and Environment Managers from the partners working within the alliance. Formal discussions with the regulatory enforcing authorities are undertaken as part of the co-ordination role on behalf of the client to provide clarification and guidance on Health and Safety arrangements.
